Need some opinions on how much to lower my car
Picture can be found at: https://www.clublexus.com/gallery/sh...cat=502&page=1
I have 17" wheels with 235/45/17 tires all the way around. Should I go with the standard Eibach 1" drop all around, or should I go with the Eibach Supra TT springs and drop it even more?
Im redoing my entire suspension, since the car is so old with a lot of miles on it. It really needs to be done. I already plan on ordering the Daizen front and rear polyurethane bushings, and the camber kit if I go with Supra springs. Anything else I will need? I'm holding off on replacing the sway bars, among a lot of other stuff, until the Jetta in the backround of the pic is sold .
Thanks for your input!!

I read that a drop over 1" requires the camber kit.
Also, look at the gap in the rear...its already about a 1" gap there. Is that because the suspension is just worn out and is sagging?

I thought it was over 2"
lowering the car would create too much negative camber. and that is why the kit is needed correct?
adds some positive camber.
but my car is lowered 2" and I have near 0 neg. camber. no correction kit.

If you want a sportier, modified look, you should lower the car a bit more. However all springs that lower
over 1 inch will operate slightly outside of manufacturer's camber specifications (by one degree negative camber or less), which creates a negligible inside tire wear. This gives you use of about 90 - 95% of the tire's total lifespan.
that's no big deal 1-2deg. of neg camber is fine. (you get the 95-90% of tire.)
I still don't think you need a camber correction kit if your doing the TT springs.
which is almost 2" drop in front and 1.7ish rear. more than 2" ... you may need the positive correction.
from my personal experience with my car I do not need a camber kit.
my car aligned fine.

Ok, thanks for the info! I guess I can hold off on ordering the camber kit for now then, and use that money for the Daizen sway bars
