L-Tuned springs/shocks squeeking
On my 99 GS4, the L-Tuned suspension components now squeek/groan when the car goes over low-speed bumps (i.e. pulling into/out-of a driveway). I thought everything was sealed on the GS, i.e. no zirk-fittings to be lubed, so I'm wondering how to address the squeeking. The suspension kit has ~40k miles on it.
I though of spraying the control-arms/bushings with an HD silicone lubricant.
It this a good idea?
Anyone else experience/correct this?
Thanks.

reuse old bumpstops?
It was recommended that I keep the prior bumpstops, rather than installing the Ltuned ones, for that very reason. I had my Ltuned Susp Kit installed 3 weeks ago...no squeaks yet, or hopefully EVER!!! Did the shop reuse or install the new ones....but then again, that was 40K miles ago.

I *think" they used the stock ones, but can't remember. I recall they were a different color, so maybe I will take the box down tonight & look at the old parts to see.
I found some other posts with people experiencing the same 'probl*** and their solution was to lube the bushings.
Why would the L-Tuned stops cause squeeks (groaning) & only after ~40k miles?
Thanks.

Yah...i used my stock bumpstops (black ones) as well.
I had some squeeking due to the springs NOT sitting on the lower shock plate properly. Check that. Another reason may be the shocks need to be changed....so more stressed is being put on the springs.
Good luck.
