All,
I was wondering if any of you have had any experience, or know someone who does, with SPC Cam Bolt Adjusters. I have attached pictures so that you can see what I am talking about. I am basically looking for more economical alternatives to purchasing a camber correction kit after lowering my SC.
These bolts appear simple enough in theory. Basically - 1) Remove stock upper strut spindle bolt 2) replace with Cam camber adjuster bults 3) Rotate Cam bolt to obtain desired camber reading.
These bolts are produced by SPC (http://www.specprod.com) Part #81250. These bolts are supposed to be able to correct up to 1.75 degrees of +/- camber.
I just wanted to hear people's input and thoughts, espcially your mechanically inclined folks, about these bolts. Thanks in advance.

Well it doesn't look like the strut can be used to change the camber because it is attached to the frame and the lower A-arm.
I'm not positive but that picture you showed is more or less of a Macpherson strut commonly found in front wheel drive cars. It's where the strut is attached to the hub instead of the upper A-arm in our cars.
Now I've never seen the standard camber correction kits from Daizen so I'm not sure how that thing works, so I'm not going to say that this is totally impossible. I have heard of adjustable upper A-arms which could be different but they are supposedly very expensive.

Yes, these type of adjusters only work on Macpherson strut type suspensions. At the comparable joint on our double-wishbone suspension is a ball joint. Don't trust the application lists for some of these manufacturers. I've seen some list the same part number for ES300's and IS300's thinking they are related platforms. Obviously they are not, and those who have ordered them for their IS end up disappointed when they arrive and will not work.
The only options for the SC are the Daizen kits ($130 each set, front or rear) and the JIC adjustable front upper arms (around $500 a pair.)
