You know when the car made that type of noise could you tell me where exactly the sound emits from would it be the middle or way in the back? Also is this sound only on deceleration or low speed like (10 MPH or less)? I have a thumping noise but i just had suspension removed...thought it was because of that...Please post a response...Aloha!

It came from middle to back area but
i couldn't really tell where it was coming from. Lex tech figured it out.It was very pronounced when decelerating from 62-55. Like a bass type sound. now sound is gone

Dealer just called -my noise they claim is because my tires are "feathered". I don't agree with them however.because it is not a consistent noise - more of a thumping. Also I only have 9K on the tires.

Have I mentioned how much I hate Lexus service here in IL?

My dealer claimed it was tires at first too. I replaced them via their diagnosis because they were at 23k and original 2001 tires. I was a little pissed that didn't fix prob, but they always do me right so I did not make a stink.
Maybe ask them if they will reimberse you if tires don't cure prob before you buy them.
Good luck

I had told them that the car did it with the snow tires as well. They said to bring it back with the snows on and they would take a look at it again.

Almost feels like a bad wheel bearing or a rust spot on the caliper and is getting worse.
