Default 19" Rims, Brakes, Tires suggestions

I know these pots are probablyl a dime a dozen but... I've been away from the scene for a bit now... and has finally come back and decided to upgrade my stock '97 5spd to 19" rims.
I've always liked the Moda R6, however, Tirerack doesn't recommend 19 for the SC. Also, it doesn't clear any big brake upgrade.
Now, the brake upgrade is something that I would like to have, but not really essential - especially since I won't be going the turbo route for a while at least.
So given that Spec, which rims should I get? I know there are alot of choices, but I'd just like something simple, decent quality/value (like the R6). My budget is something like $1000-$2500 but I'd rather not go too much over $2500.
Finally, my tires are balding too so some help on that would be cool too. Thanks.

So is your budget for rims only? You did not mention tires until the end leading me to think 2500 at most for rims and tires are extra cost. If it is just rims, you need to jump in the iForged GB right now.

You can get 19" 2-pc forged wheels for your 2500 budget. Spend a few hundred more and you can get 3-pc.

Good luck.

Just to add fuel to the fire, here is a pic of the 5-spoke (Aero):

This is the 3-pc but you can get the 2-pc looking like this or without the rivets for a cleaner look. You also get lips which the R6's don't have. The lips could be a good or bad thing depending on whether or not you want them. The other bonus is that you can get these with high disk and custom offset to work with your BBK.

Without being very hooked up, these are slamming prices and Derrick (D2-Autosport) is a great person to deal with.
