The labor times quoted are right, ALLDATA puts the labor times for the SC at 1.5 hours per side for the fronts.

That means that a good mechanic can do it well in .5 hours.... Alldata and Chilton rates are skewed for the shop owners and machanics NOT the consumers.

I called PB so here's the deal: the $13.99 rate applies to Shocks ONLY, and if you buy the shocks from them the labor is free. Here's the catch, our car's take STRUTS so the labor rate is different (Pep Boys logic, don't try to figure it out). The rate to replace struts or springs (labor only) is almost $600 ($200-something for the rears and $300-something for the fronts). The rate to replace shocks is $13.99 a corner. They said anyone is welcome to come down and get a printout of the rates. Hope this clears everything up.
