Need Help!!
Just put 20's on my 00 GS4, and there is rubbing at high speeds when going over bumps, So i then rolled the fenders and there is slight rubbing only on one side I need a fix. Do I tell the car shop to cut the well when I put the HA's on or what ?

Does anybody have some good clear pics of shaving (and the end result) they can share? (and no Henry, this doesn't mean you with the Gillette in the AM )

im not so sure "cutting" would be a gret idea. i did this before and maybe too much was cut off but it caused a seperation between the fender well and the actual body panel. it seperated because the trim was the 2 panels pressed together. the shop only cut off 1/2 of the trim and caused this to happen.

There's no problem with the body panel separating from the fender since we typically only need to take off half of the lip.
Rolling the GS fender is not as good a method since the black trim would need to be removed, plus there is always a chance of paint cracking at the rolled edge.
I've done shaving on a bunch of NorCal cars over the past 3 years and we have not seen any problems from shaving the lip.
We usually need to grind off the lip up to the screw heads that are holding the black trim.
In extreme clearance cases we have gone a lot further and actually removed the trim and the screws all-together, without any problem.
Here's the stock lip.

There are some cautions that need to be taken when using a belt sander. I better do a full DIY write up in the near future. I promise.
Now for the front fender there is some slight rolling that can be done without much risk of cracking paint, plus some plastic forming of the inner liner with a heat gun.
I shaved the rear lip and rolled the front lip on the wifeys IS.
