Default wanting to lower the 'is' have a dilema, need help

im about to lower my 02 is300 but i have a concern. it seems that most drop springs lower the back more than the front, every spring i have seen(,h&r teins and so on) i know the hotchkis says 1.5 front and 1.0 rear but the drop ends up being pretty even front to rear and the rear may sag a little. and also eibach lower 1 in front and 1 in rear, this gives the rake i am looking for, but it is not enought of a drop.i know there are coilovers but i really did not want to spend 1300+ on suspension.
my question is has anybody ever mixed and matched springs? i was thinking of running the tein stech in the front and the htech in the rear, what do you think of this setup, spring rates are not that much different to cause a ride concern. please give me any input would be nice.

imho it's never a good idea to mix match springs. you are already putting the springs together with some shocks that it's probably not engineered with. putting it together with other springs, that's just tough. plus, if you get different springs say up front, the drop on the rear will change too. everything is relative. you raise up the front a bit and it effectively drop the rear a bit more, and vise versa.

Here's my 02 with s techs on...
doesn't seem too much drop on the rear...although its stated that the front drops 1.3'" and 1.6" on the rears..

you can always find used Coilovers or cheaper ones.. .& even then used cheaper ones are even.... .cheaper....
check Ebay etc decent deals o ncoilovers are always available...

another thing you might look into is a "spacer" for the springs... there are round hard rubber or soft plastic rings made for many many cars... that will sit under the springs to bump the height up a bit ususlaly with out affecting the spring rate... yo ucould get a set of these & only use them i nthe back..

Matter of fact i have a couple pair i bought for my car long ago & never used.. .brand new .. .shoot me a PM if you are interested in trying this .. i will gladly sell them...
