I'm in the game!
I finally got everything for my conversion! My rotors were on back-order, but they were waiting for me on my porch when I got home today from work. Next thing to do is paint the calipers and then put everything on the car!

either use the shave method or purchase RCAs...my question is, what RCAs are available? why are most 30mm when it seems like 17-18mm is sufficient? I'm on coilovers with bag cups up front so I can adjust to make up for that 1" drop if need be...

I went with Figs for my conversion. He was easy to deal with, had parts in stock, and highly recommended.
I'm on stock suspension so the 18mm size was sufficient for my setup. I'm also using stock wheels, so I ended up needed spacers to make everything fit.
GL with the mod!

I got my calipers and pads from AutoZone, I think I got the rotors from Summit Racing (they're EBC brand, so anywhere that sells them should be ok), and I used OEM brake lines. After reading through this whole thread a few times, I didn't see any benefit to upgrading them for everyday driving purposes. My car has less than 60K on it so they were still in good shape. I purchased extended wheel studs and spacers from a local shop. I believe I needed .25" or .5" spacers. I was on a budget and the studs and spacers were an expense unaccounted for. I only had enough to do the front wheels. As a result, my front wheels stick out a little further than the rears. It doesn't affect handling or wear too bad. I'm not too savvy when it comes to DIY so I had everything installed at the dealership that I work at. Here's a few pics, hope this helps. Best wishes!

Hi friends!
How hard to find a pair of Supra TT caliper, and price range? Where can I find a decent pair.
I had ls400 on my car and it work good... until recently I change my shock and spring non coilover...
but due to the 17mm spacer... it makes the front look way too low compare to the rear.
So, I think I will need to switch the ls4 and put on the supra tt caliper..or I will have to go back to OEM GS4 caliper.
thanks

Supra TT calipers are tough to come by which is the one of the reasons I decided to go LS4. Most of the junkyards have already been plundered, so more than likely you'll have to buy remans from a retailer. Another problem that I ran into is that even trying to go that route, it was difficult to find a place that I could get both sides.
Cost wise, you can expect to pay around $300 per side just for the caliper assembly. You'll still need to factor in pads of your choice. I inquired through the parts department at the dealership I work for on a set of new ones. Even with my discount it was around double the price of the remans! For that, you might as well just get a bbk from Rotora, Stop-tech, or something along those lines.
Heres a good starting point: http://www.suprastore.com/robigbrkit19.html

Has anyone had any clunking sounds coming from the front after this. I noticed while installing the rotors, if i spin the hub by hand there is play withing the rotor and the studs.
I ordered these rotors, can't imagine these not fitting right. (Genuine Brembo Set Front Rotors 10/94-2000 Lexus LS400 09.8315.10)

Any thoughts? much appreciated for those who chime in.
