I'm finally jumping on the LS400 front brake mod. Will post pics when installed. I went with a re-manufactured set of calipers, drilled/slotted rotors, just ceramic pads for street use, Megan racing 30mm RCA's, and Stoptech SS brake lines for the front and rear. Also will be moving to DOT-4 fluid and will paint the calipers with some nice Lexus logo stickers I found on ebay that are sized right for the LS400 calipers. Gonna look sweet.

Did you use EBC Rotors? Those look just like mine did when I did my brake swap.

I like your photo's too... the stock 16's with the LS 4-pots look nice. But I'd ASSUME...100% chance he used EBC rotors, as they're the only rotors with that design (that I know of, at least) ha

Thanks for the links... nice info. I suppose most use the 25 or 30mm RCA's because they get the ride height even lower, when on air... or allow the coilovers to ride nicer and still be even lower than you would. (since on the 2GS the Roll Center Adapters cause the car to drop as much as the spacer size- which is COOL)

Like the look of your GS. I am in the process of doing the LS400 upgrade.

I did my research and found that the knock off 18x8 LFA wheels where cheap and would work if I with a LS brake swap. As far as the fitting the calipers I am running 30mm RCA's on the front and rear on stock suspension. I did have to cut the dust shield back to fit the calipers. So here are the pics:

Is this a straight fit?

Bro.

Never mind the rest of the thread, you didn't even read the entire post you're quoting.

There is not a single unanswered question about LS400 brake swaps. Please read the information that people took the time to write for the benefit of people like you.

does anyone know if the 2017 Lexus IS350 F Sport wheels would clear the LS400 BBK? I know the 3GS 5 spoke will clear and it is about the same specs.

So what do we need to upgrade the rear?

No need to upgrade the rear at stock power levels. The LS brakes do help a little, but pad choice will give you better feedback with this upgrade.
I used FIGS 15mm (could be 18mm) for my RCA's, gave it just the right amount of drop on stock suspension.

Regarding the newer IS style wheel, I'm not sure about the clearance. IF you can measure the wheel from the hub mount to the back of the spokes, that may help.
I have found that most concave wheel designs will clear the 4 pot calipers.
