SC4Million,
Mike was talking about BUSHINGS not control arms. You can get a replacement set of bushings for $156 from Carson Toyota.

tarq,

As far as I know, there are no replacment OEM bushings for the rear. You just have to get new arms. That said OEM clone bushings are availible from Andrew Valmos. Google search "VFT Bushes"

Cheap Rear Control Arms??? LOL.

The $156 price is for a set (2 per side) of front lower control arm bushings (OEM) for the SC's. If you want Supra arms (bushings and ball joints included) those go for $190 each and you'll need 2 of them if you choose to go that route. Just remember the Supra is a sports car and the SC is a luxury cruiser, I believe the Supra arms are slightly shorter so your ride comfort will be diminished slightly. Just know what you're getting into before you plunk down your cash fellas...

As for rear bushings, I agree with going through VFT Bushes...

For the rear lower arms, the VFT parts may be a good solution, I'll have look first to see if they're not close to something available here.

Just an update guys i just got my Supra front lower control arms installed. These things are great, my car is riding like it should. Now if we can only find a solution for the rear arms.

PS. the Supra lower control arms are the way to go if you still want to keep a good lexus ride going

I was thinking a little closer to home, like NAPA Auto parts, using the size charts that they have.
I nearly foung a set for the front, but got the Supra parts instead. For the rear it may be worth going back and getting a copy of that size listing again, I tossed it out

So you can size match the bushings to some universal ones at NAPA and just get them in the store?

Yeah, basically, it sounds kind of frankenstein, but it's worked for me for twenty years now with many different parts.
Even if you had to cut one down, it may still be worth it. I can machine stuff too, so I would even consider a sleeve and a smaller, firmer bushing.

im sorry, i read this post 10 times and i have a few questions?
so there isn't anything that can be done about the rear arms upper and lower?

and would putting in the bushings be hard w/o burning or pressing?
thanks

well you gotta press in any bushings...

Diazen makes a rear kit for $129. I have 146k on my 93 and the rears are still fine, the main problem areas are the lower front rear..
