Have had the LTuned suspension on for a while and never got around to installing the ECU. Too small of an area for me! Anyways, seeing it just sit there I figured I would do it. Got it done (pain) and took it for a drive. Nice little improvement.

 

Yes I would agree with you on that it only took about 10 minuets for me and a $20.00 tip.

 

The L-TUned Ecu gave me minor improvements on the tightness of the steering wheel.


Took me about 5min to install.

Unscrew Panels, Unplug OEM unit. Plug in L-Tuned unit and tie wrap to make it stay.
So if i ever wanted to remove the L-tuned unit. Just unplug and plug it back to OEM.

 

Definitely a worthwhile mod! Seems like 2002 and up GS430s probably already have this mod though.

 

congrats on the new mod svt make sure you mark your old ecu, or you are going to confuse yourself later on

 

Can anyone let me know if this is true since my 2002 came from the dealer with the L-tuned package and I would hope this would have been done. If not, then I need to consider doing this.

 

well, most people here say that the 01+ already got it, but i have read before that at least one gs430 owners put in the ecu and he still felt the difference
