Default how did you guys fit a supra sway bar on your car?

i've got both a stock supra frotn sway and a stillen front sway (made for the supra) and both of them hit an AC line (or some kind of line) underneath my car if i bolt them on.... now if the suspension were to compress... i'm almost sure it would rip this line or break it.... i'm not too sure what line it is yet...

any of you guys have problems

Dunno about sway bars but while routing my IC pipes, I had to move a few AC lines out of the way.
They are made out of aluminum and therefore could be bent a little bit.
Don't bend it too much because it may crimp and reduce flow.

The front fit on my SC300 with no issues at all. It should fit exactly where the original bar fit and that shouldn't have interfered with anything?!?!? Put 'em both on the ground side by side and makre sure you got the right bar.

i noticed the difference after laying them down side by side...

the supra is angle more... kinda hard to explain...

but basically the flat spot ___ ___ (the lower part of this illustration)
\________/

is angle more on the supra-designed bars.... and that hits some kind of line

the stock doesn't angle as much

I had the same problem on my 1996 SC400. I bend one of the line ties towards the engine and it gives you a small clearance. After a few months of used I do not see any problems with the lines.
Also the gap between the oil filter on the SC400 and the supra TT front bar is very small.

nope... there's just no way... i have no clue how some of you guys were able to use supra front sways...

if you look at the picture... it's already touching.... this is with the wheels in the air... once the car is back on the groung... the sway bar will most likely swing up and break that line.

Sheesh, last time I mention anything about the two being the same part, I imagine the difference is from the six being a bit longer of an engine.
If you tweak any of the aluminum lines around, bend a tiny bit in several places, not a bunch in one place, to get things where they need to be.

that picture is with the lines bent some already.... i'm pretty sure i can bend some more.... but still... as soon as i drop the car back on the ground and the wheels go up... so does the sway... and there's just no way to bend the lines that much

Only one way to find out.
Lower it slowly and see if the situation gets worse.
My IC pipes are touching the radiator hose as well but it's no big deal.

haha.... eh i don't even need to lower the car to find out... i already know....

the radiator hose seems like it might take the stress.... but i know the other lines won't....

i put the stock one back on... and bent the lines back the way there were suppose to be
