Default Brakes

Anyone know where i can get 4 calipers for the SC4 at? Or a deal on the calipers, rotors and pads would be great.

I know all about the LS and TT upgrades but they are out of my price range because i still have stock rims.

Thanks a lot

PM me with your AIM screen name and we can talk. I'm about to get TT brakes all around, so I will have my calipers, drilled/slotted rotors, and pads for sale.

If the Toyota dealership said to jump off a bridge, would you?

The dealership just wants your sweet sweet money

PS. SC4 brakes are slightly larger in front, but exactly the same in the rear

Default Calipers...

Lets just say, hypothetically, that i really do need 4 calipers; Wheres a good, cheap place to buy them from?

I completely understand everyone telling me its unlikely, but i am going to take the word of the professional that looked at the car and get the brakes redone.

Thanks

what is the problem with the brakes, we have many many knowledgeable members that can offer advice.

if you want to change all the brakes, I suggest replacing two at a time, not all 4.

You're sure its calipers, not rotors that need the replacing? Did he say what was wrong with the calipers? I'd take it back there and make them show me what was wrong and make sure they meant calipers instead of rotors! I don't see how calipers can go bad unless your brakes just aren't working at all.

Default calipers

the calipers arent releasing all the way, wearing out the pads and the rotors. They said replace it all and if the pads wear out prematurely it may be a problem with the ABS.

Guy at the Toyota dealership said the SC400 had a problem with the ABS system and they had a recall for it. Called Lexus of Wilmington, said they didnt know anything about a recall, then later said it was "a service bulletin, not a recall."
