This always seems to happen. You usually don't think it will until you choose the S/S path and then regret it.

(Happened to me too. )

Happened to me also, although my mistake was only eibach springs. You see the price for coilovers compared to say the ltuned setup and most people think it isnt worth it. But if you want to be able to set the height to perfectly fit the car and adjust it whenever you want it is worth every penny.

The thing I learned from my suspension mistake was to check out every mod, research it, look it up on this forum and others and see peoples comments and insights and then make a wise decision. All my mods from here on out will be well researched and thought over before I give up my CC#.

I was almost reeled in by the super low price of L-tune SS. And Darrell is an awesome guy to deal with. But after seeing fluctuations in drop height(some too low in rear) on some cars and the countless members who have been there and done that allready and advised against SS , that helped me decide that when I upgrade it will be Tein CS. I don't really want to drop it that much, maybe just an inch, but at least I'll be able to set it exactly where I want it.

I got my L-tuned shocks and springs from Sewel a couple months back; before the steep price drop. I paid $388 for the complete set-up. Found the drop to be very subtle and the handling improvement very satisfactory. Since then I have added TRD braces up front both on top and below and had Daizen sway bars installed front and rear. Its hard to imagine the handling getting much better. I feel solid and secure at speeds WAAYY above reasonable levels. 90 MPH seems like just puttering along, 120 MPH and its still solid like a rock.

Here's a couple shots I just took in the driveway to show the drop with L-tuned s/s and 18" rims. Sorry about the dirt, I haven't washed the car since driving to Half Moon Bay and back.

Just look back to the posting before your previous one to see a pic of my car on L-tuned shocks/springs and running 18" rims. I don't see any problem. Car looks and rides great IMHO.

That's a nice pic. I'd prefer my GS lower than that though....so I'm happy with my springs.
