Why not just powder coat the whole thing the color of your choice? Much more durable than paint, almost impossible to scratch. There are hundredds of colors now to choose from, including some that look like chrome or brass. You could match your cars color or its brightwork (chrome, gold kit, black pearl whatever you got)
