Default ls braker conversion

well finally got around to putting on the ls brakes and rotors today. crossed my fingers and began. in case anyone is wondering they will fit behind 18" adr cyphers (35 offset). the hardest part the whole time was getting the old rotors off, and for some reason the passenger side caliper didn't bolt right on without any problems like the driver side did. the notch where the top bolt mounted up was hitting the factory bracket. so i took the grinder and shaved like a little over a 1/16 th of an inch of the edge where it was hitting. other than that the job was pretty easy. those things are huge.

Talk about the difference in stopping power you realized when you tested the brakes out

ls calipers do not want fit perfectly in my 1994 sc 400. I must shaved with grinder some from its casting near lower mounting bolt. Nothing big, it takes seconds. But without that they do not want fit right. Must done that with left and right caliper. Maybe I have them oupside down

The money has been spent, the calipers are en route to me as we speak. Could be here today actually, lol. I'll check the mail for them when I get home. And yes, I like to hear it a lot

"Paging Ronald for caliper and rotor installation, Ronald to the front please"...

Oh yeah, are ss lines a must or what? I've read varying opinions so I want to know what people who I actually talk to think about ss lines.

Some people swear by them. I don't really find them necessary unless yours are flexing. It's personal preference. My stockers are JUST fine and this thing will pull your teeth out.

Yo Mike,

Let me know if you need help on them brakes....you and Ron can use my uncle's shop, equipped with all kind of tools....
Or we can do what we did last time - have an SC meet at Ronald's again

Fo sheezy man, I'm sure Ronald has all the necessary tools at his pad, or I know a few other people who can help me handle it...we'll see...

reamemiya, let me know if you decide to sell. If the price is right I may be interested. I know you're local so that makes it easy.
