as for me it was the tires. I changes 2 rear tires and it drives good as new

Update:

I've got brand new and balanced tires on all four corners, new discs front and rear, and still vibrations. What I've found is that on the driveshaft there is a splined part, that was a bit loose, I've tightened it and it improved things. Now I want to replace the support bearing, because I've heard from various people that if the rubber is old it can create vibrations (the car is soon 11 years old... )

Can somebody please help me to find the part number for the drive shaft support bearing assembly???? (since none of the lexus dealers here inte sweden can find it)

My car vibrates anywhere from 40-80 mph and the vibration fades. I think i narrowed down the problem. Either A my super soft winter tires are cupping/uneven treadwear or B i know for a fact 3 of my 4 brakes are stickin and thats what could be causing that vibration or C, a CL member recommended me to get an allignment...although i don't know what that would have to do wiht anything.

Had the same problem in my SC 400.
Replaced motor mounts, Upper and Lower Control arm bushings front and rear.
Replaced brake rotors and brake pads front and rear and torque converter.

The problem turned out to be a loose nut that some mechanic had not put the special locktite on. It is the final drive shaft coming out of the auto tranmission.

So if you car in an automatic it might be something you may want to look at.

Check and see how much play you have on the very front of your driveshaft. Foreword and backword play.

The mechanic tightened the loose nut to factory specs, applied the special locktite needed to freeze it from loosening and all has been well since.
