In the last two cars I've owned, the first mod I made was replacing the steering wheel with a thicker, smaller diameter one. This actually makes a rather dramatic difference, resulting in heavier, more direct steering. I think TRD sells a wheel for $700 with an airbag; has anyone done anything different? Will the whole airbag system freak out if the steering wheel is replaced with a non-airbag one? Maybe a smaller wheel from a Toyota car like MRS or Scion Tc would fit?

The TRD steering wheel will fit the Aristo and GS as well.

you got gs430, i am not sure if the trd wheel will fit on with the airbag still functioning

is there a certain hub to buy for an aftermarket steering wheel? i like the look of some of the high end momo ones (maybe ven the trd w/o airbag), does it just bolt on is there an adapter to buy>?

i have a steering wheel in my grage from a Scion i'll sell it for $50 its brand new.. doesnt haev the airbag or center cover tho
