Default Anyone had to repair/replace IRS or rear subframe?

I was just wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to view up close their rear subframe/IRS. Most likely not, but one doesn't know without asking so here I am. I might need to use one and since I cannot find one in a local junkyard I thought that ir could be a good idea to ask Soarer/SC300 owners about it.

I would like to know the dimensions if possible because it may be perfect for my needs on a street rod. I could use a solid rear but I want IRS. From disk to disk, has anyone had to measure? If the numbers are what I need, I'll look for a salvage car and see abou cutting oout the rear subframe.

I am assuming that these measurements are not common knowledge so any information is appreciated.

I replaced my subframe awhile ago and have an extra one sitting in the garage. My extra one has a slight bend in it, but don't think it will effect anything. I can take pics if you would like. I Was going to toss it out this week since it's taking up too much space.

Wow! I had given up hope. I pic an dimensions would be great if its not too much trouble. Looking at swapping it into another car (if doing so is even possible) if...IF the dimensions are the same.

sure. that would be useful. I hadn't thought of asking that because wit hthe Vette IRS, it uses a frame setup which is different from a unibody design.

If its easy to do, here are the three questions that we focused on:

1. From disk to disk, just how long is the subframe?

2. From the most extreme point in the front to the rear, just how long is it?

3. From the most bottom point to the most top point, just how long is it?

This isn't a great pic, and the gas tank will have to be relocated an the spare tire well cut out, but here is an idea of where the rear IRS would be going:
