Default Control Arms

Hey guys I was doing a search for suspension stuff and almost 90% of the time I saw stuff about lower control arms. Do the stock SC's have problems with the control arms? What are the benefits of doing this mod?

Yes. The SC's do have problem with mainly the front lower LCA's. The rears will eventually go. This is just a simple flaw that us SC owners have to deal with somewhere down the line. Daizen bushings from TM Engineering are said to be a good alternative to our stock bushings. There are made of polyurethane and should last much longer and improve handling. Vlamos bushings are also a good alternative (smoother ride/closer to stock).

They're good if you want to replace your whole control arm instead of just swapping bushings. The Supra ones will be cheaper than SC arms from Lexus.

Yes. The Supra LCA's supposedly have thicker bushings(still rubber) but should last a little longer. The ride may be harsher but not by much. They are also 1/2 the price of ours. I think they are also a very good option. Good luck!

Well, the pre 97 Supra arms are cheaper than ours. The 97+ ones are the same price... but apparently they are aluminum. Ours and the older Supra ones are steel. Much more weight savings there.

Yes. I forgot to mention that. 93.5-96 are cast and 97,98 are aluminum.
