Welcome,

You sure you wanna put a 1.99 strut bar on your lex ? I'd think about that twice but yeah, according to what they say, this will "fit" on the SC.

Just out of curiousity, how much do you guys think a strut bar should cost?

I dont see how it should me much, unless its made from precious metals.

ive had this debate with friends before... i agree that it is the quality of the material used, the way its welded, and the design of the mounts itself. 1. as far as the material used... it depends on the kind of metal (aluminum, steel, titanium, or even carbon fiber) and the process of how its made (compressed or heated). 2. im not an expert on welding. but ive heard that the quality of the weld does matter. it may look the same on the outside, but its all about how the metals have molded together on the inside. 3. Then you can compare the strut bar off e-bay to the TRD or JIC and you can see that the metal on the mounts are thicker and the design itself is alot different. the metal wraps more around the base of the mount.

but then you gotta think of how this piece will be used. are you taking your SC to the track? or are you just gonna have it as a daily cruiser? i don't think this strut bar will negatively affect your ride. it can either improve your handling or stay the same.

A $1.99 strut bar? Geez I pay more for a cup of coffee...

I'd stick with the more known brands... especially brands that are focused with suspension tuning (JIC Magic, Cusco etc.), that's just my personal opinion though.

Cusco make some nice ones for the Soarer (1JZ), either aluminium or carbon fibre. They may fit onto an SC300 but I haven't studied an 3.0L N/A Soarer so I can't say if it'd fit or not.
