to be honest i am not sure how we can decide what's the "best" and the "top". everyone wants something different and something will always be best for them. to johnny the zeal is better than the flex, and to me the tein cs is better than the flex, that's all i can say.
i am not sure if anyone can just go say something is the best.
but for sure zeal is some super quality stuff!

So some info on the Zeals. The Zeal Function Zi are Zeals comfort spec coilovers. First things to note in comparing them to the Tein Flex:
1. Flex = Twin Tube, Zeal = all models Monotube
2. Flex = standard Tein spring, Zeal = SWIFT RACING COMFORT SPRING
3. Zeal utilizes a chromoly plating for it's exterior coatings. Zeal unit has been built to withstand the extreme climates of the east coast.
4. Zeal utilizes superior bushing material in both the uppermount and lower brackets to ensure smooth and quiet ride.
5. Zeal incorporates what they call the "PVS" dial: ALLOWING YOU TO SEE YOUR DAMPER SETTINGS.
THIS IS WHAT THE SC300 COILS LOOK LIKE:
You won't find a lot of people running these coilovers because Endless has opted to only offer its products to a small number of dealers who are capable of providing proper product support on a suspension of this caliber.
Best place to go to find a dealer would be:
http://endlessusa.com/dealers/
If there isn't a dealer in your area please do speak with Johnny as i'm sure he'd be able to get you a set being an Endless sponsee and all.
It's unfortunate that people have not been able to experience various comfort coilovers from various manufacturers. Until such a time that people are able to experience the ride of the Zeals, they will always wonder how GOOD they can be. I don't think Johnny realized how much better of a ride and quieter a ride the Zi could be over the Flex until he got them.
Hope that helped.

Endless/Zeal are more a nice market company compared to Tein. I also very much doubt that Endless is producing their coilovers themselves, whereas Tein is producing their own products.
This does not make them better or worse in general. Like most products, it has to suit your own needs/requirements.
Endless/Zeal products are normally more stiffer (and are more 'racy') than the average products. Not everyone likes that.
Tein is a bigger coilover company and is offering a complete range to suit more people's tastes.
Comparing a $2000+ Endless/Zeal coilover with a $1000 Tein Flex coilover is like comparing a Acura RL with a Toyota Camry ... of coz the RL is in many ways better than the Toyota, but it is also much more expensive. Also, the Camry may still beat the RL on some points ...
'Better' is very subjective, the entry level Endless/Zeal coilovers, which sell for about $1100 - 1200 in Hong Kong really sucks in terms of ride ... and no one wants these ...
So ... Endless/Zeal is not Better than Tein, just better for some of us , while others would just go for the Tein

This is the entry Zeal coilover kit for the GS. It sells used for HK$3500 or US$450.
You can find several sets of the GS or IS every week.

The coilovers you are referring to are not even current in the US. It's interesting that in HK you're saying the Zeals are harsher, but here in the states we have not experienced a single coilover application that was stiffer than a Tein or JIC, regardless of the model, using the same spring rates.
All the Zeal Twin perch systems will ride phenomenally. There are several clients running Zeals who have started with Tein or JIC and felt the difference. I can only speak from personal experience with several brand manufacturers and the Zeals provided a much more compliant ride. They produce a coilover for every situation.
You definitely will get what you pay for. I'm sorry I was unable to provide you with a relative comparison regarding the Flex and Zi. I could have compared it to the CS model of Tein but from the illustrations it looks like a single perch system which would result in suspension travel loss/ride quality loss when lowering the vehicle. It's more like a Tein Super Street coilover, but monotube.
Hope this helps:
