JIC STB Require Emblem Removal?
Hi,
I've been reading over lots of stuff on this forum, but there seem to be conflicting reports on whether the JIC STB clears the SC300 engine without requiring any modifications (i.e. removal of emblem, removal of cover, use of washers, etc).
Some have said that the JIC STB clears everything fine while others have said that washers are needed or that the emblem or cover have to be removed.
I just want a definitive answer. Does the JIC STB for the SC300 have any clearance issues?
Thank you so much. I'm tired of buying substandard STBs and having clearance issues so I'm going to do it right the first time this time.

Thanks for the info. I had thought that the Cusco bar rubbed on the top too. Hmm, wish there were shops near me with the bar in stock. Also, the Cusco bar is super hard to source right?
Thanks.

Lexuspros.com aka now re-named Luxurymods.com used to carry them..They're a vendor here and you can email or pm them directly to see if they still carry Cusco products..It is not listed as one of the brands that they carry on their website though but I'm sure something can be arranaged...I remember was an old thread where members sanded down the metal piece that was rubbing the bottom portion of the STB..If I can recall, the STB only needed a couple of milimeters of clearance to completely clear..You might want to try that...I'm sure most aftermarket STB fit over the 2JZ since the engine sits pretty low compared to the 1UZ..
