Default TRD vs Cusco STB Strength

I'm wondering whether anyone has ever tested the strength and rigidity of the TRD stb vs the Cusco stb on our sc300/sc400s. The TRD bar appears to be much more massive and certainly seems like it would be stronger and stiffer than the Cusco bar.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I have both. I have no doubt about the TRD being stronger, and it is quite heavy.

TRD gets my vote also...It looks almost bulletproof...It takes a beating to put the darn thing on...Doesn't flex or bend as easy as other STB...

Considering the apparent superior strength and rigidity of the TRD STB, why are the Cusco and JIC STBs often recommended instead? Thank you.

because they are smaller and fit without longer bolts + spacers. oh yeah you can also still use teins edfc with those but not with the TRD bar

Same reason why most people don't go hunting with a bazooka. A bazooka is much stronger and more powerful than a rifle, but that kind of force is unnecessary

By the time you apply enough force to bend the cusco bar, you will encounter a ton of other problems.

Anyhow, since we are men, we are prone to always error on the side of overkill. This is why I have the TRD bar

I agree, I just picked a TRD bar up a few weeks ago and this thing has some heft to it. Certainly beefier than the Otto R bar I got from LuxuryMods. It's one piece construction is solid.

SC400Dude,

Could you give me a comparison of your Otto bar and the TRD bar? I bought an Otto bar, but I can't bring myself to put it on my SC300 cause of how pitiful the Otto bar looks and feels. What do you think?
