Why do you say all bets arfe off if you upgrade to 19's or 20's, is it because of increase rotational mass?

If so wouldnt the fact that an aftertmarket wheel will most likely be lighter counteract that issue?

Also as an FYI I am running ceramic pads with brembo OEM slotted rotors up front and have been doing okay. I got everythying from Tire rack. Oh and I have 19" Iforged wheels.

the weight of the wheel is one thing , the overall mass (diameter has alot to do with stopping power, fatigue, and failure

if running boost big brakes imo is a must have , run fast stop even faster (these are words i live by)

if running 19-20 in wheels and drive agressively , try hitting the brakes from 100 or so and see if you have any brakes to speak of after.. i drive like a indy car driver (no joke , i have fried my stock brakes from way back when i first installed 19in wheels

is it a must have no , is it a should have 150%.. you can never have enough control

I agree regarding the stock pads I have fried them on the way to Church, massive fading, they leave a lot to be desired.

If you want "stock" form, then I'd go with "AXXIS" brand pads. Works great... no noise no dust !!

as far as upgrading to TT brakes, will rotors off the gs still work? what would need to be changed/switched around to make these work?? ill probably end up with brembos/sslines/axxis pads but the TT combo seems good too

Go with the TT combo. Cheap and effective. Thats what I ended up doing. You will need the calipers/rotors/pads/shims. The TT calipers are larger than the GS ones. Contact Carson Toyota if you want the parts or check the classifieds.

Since no one mentioned it, but from what I read here, LS 400 brake calipers are as effective and even more cheaper than the supras.
PM "aliga" and he can get you a front set for somewhere in the $200 something price range
I've been thinking about going this route

i have brembo cross-drileld and, stainless teel lines, Motul, and EBC.

Love the set-up (especially for the $$) and no brake dust whatsoever.

BTW, i will need to change my pads soon, do I have to replace the Motul or can I just leave it alone? Its been in there for 3 years?
