Can LS400 caliper fit 16" oem wheels with spacers?

Why would you put 17s, 18s, 19s, or 20s?? Its just personal preference man. I have my own reasons. My car is a daily driver and the front brakes are almost done. It would only cost a little bit more to upgrade to LS400 brakes. So if they can fit under the 16's on it already, then it would be worth it to upgrade. If I have to get bigger wheels/tires to accommodate them, then it would not be cost effective for me.
On another note, the wheels I have in the front are 16x8 w/50 offset. Does anyone know the size and offset of the stock 1995-2000 LS400 wheels that these brakes come from?

It's not just the offset you need to be worried about but the disk type. Hi-disk clearance is what you're looking for. That, coupled with the correct width/offset will give a nice fitting wheel.
OEM LS400 wheels are 16x7 +45.

There are a few people selling the LS400 upgrade between 2-300 on the classifieds right now thats why I was considering. I'm still a newbie to this hi and low disk stuff so bear with me. Is there a measurement to this or is it just the design of the wheel? Is there a way to ensure fitment w/o having to install the calipers then find out? Thanks for the help and info.

Im running 16" wheels(NA MKIV wheels) as well. Im doing it for sake of running a tall tire. Any recomendations for high performance rotor/pad replacement front/back for the SC? Obviously SS lines shall be used.
