Default how bad is it for the ps system

To keep the white 2 wire plug unplugged to keep it in its "bypass" mode?? I love the stiffer steering and it has just a tad of assist. Will that end of destroying something?

it shouldnt do much if any harm. the system is usually under greater pressure from the pump than from you just turning the wheel and letting the rack itself push the fluid from one side to the other. as a hint dont drain any fluid out or you will be regretting that move sooner than later. if anything starts acting odd quickly check it out tho because when a steering rack seizes up its bad news.
