My Teins squeak!!
Hey everyone, I had Tein CS installed all around on my 99' GS400 back in August. I've enjoyed them very much except for one thing. Lately these babies squeak whenever I'm going over a speedbump, up onto the sidewalk to get into the garage, or just in general on a slightly bumpy road. Is this normal? Can I do anything to stop the annoying squeaking. It makes my car sound cheap if you ask me. Any suggestions?

OK I won't lie. No I didn't. I had them installed and I drove away. I'm thinking I'd better take them in to someone who knows what they are doing because I sure as hell dont. Any other tips that I should consider when I go in to have this looked at?

How many miles you got on them so far? Also makin sure they are torqued like chuck said is first of all things. I had a bad experience one time when my left rear suspension fell out of place because the tech probably didn't torque them, and he tried to make an excuse about it but in the end he did correct the issue. I also think that once they breakin they should be torqued again to be on the safe side. To address your problem about them makin alittle noise here, and there its no big deal as long as its installed rite. Now go and enjoy them man

I had them installed back in July. Never been back to have them looked at. But thats something I'll be doing TODAY. So thanks for the heads-up! Will let you know what I find out - if anything.

mine squeak from time to time too at low speeds over bumps. since i already have had it checked and everything tightened properly i think it might just be the teins being a little dirty... i don't know. it's not loud enough and doesn't squeak often enough to bother me though... ive had mine for about 11k miles

Yeah, I am in Seattle, and we've had our share of rain lately - which is typical when Summer is over. I was so used to my nice quiet Lexus that any squeak that I hear kinda irks me. :-) But with BBK and my Blitz exhaust that nice quiet ride went right out the window this summer. Oh the price of making my car look bitc*en. :-D

I have a very slight squeek as well after just 500 miles of use. How do I tighten the nut when the entire top spins? I used a torque wrench at 20lbs and it causes the asembly to spin.
