Default Jerky steering recovery from curve

2006 GS300: Coming out of left hand curves, at speeds from 40 to 60 mph, the steering is catchy and jerky - like it's hanging up on something. Notchy would be another way to describe it. No problems at all with right hand curves - and no problem with parking lot turns or normal freeway type driving with gradual curves. Tire pressure has been checked and verified at 34 lb per tire. Anyone have any thoughts as to why this would occur - only on left hand curves???
