The only downside to that location is because it's angled horizontal it's a little harder to see the display. Mine's mounted in the other popular location. Not as elegant in some ways but a HECK of a lot easier to do.

I'm not a do it yourself type of guy when it comes to custom installations, so I put mine in this location thank's to (Lexusondubs) placement he had! He's my inspiration! -wringo
No I have no problems with the keys changing the settings!
