EBC Greenstuff (Yay or Nay)
So what do you think? I need to get some new pads for these LS400 calipers that I just bought and have found a really good deal on some EBC Greenstuff pads. They got mixed reviews on Tirerack though. What do you guys think?

Absolutely love them.
I installed them in conjunction with SS lines, so the result i felt might have been magnified, but nontheless, the braking power is awsome.
The only down side is i experience squeals time to time when the pad is cold. Goes away after a while.

I thought the Greenstuff was suppose to do the exact opposite? From what I have read on it, EBC greenstuff is dust free.

Thanks for the opinions, I went ahead and bought them cause they were just toooo cheap not to. If they suck i'll just ditch 'em. In case anybody wants to buy some they're on sale for the LS400 calipers ($25) for the fronts.

Designed for premium street driving offering better brake effect at loads and speed. EBC Greenstuff has a high initial brake effect and gives drivers confidence from first application of the brake pedal. There is no such thing as a NO DUST pad. The very nature of how a brake works requires that some dust be generated to avoid rotor vibration (shimmying). The EBC pad creates less dust and dust is more easily washed off than most. All pads create more dust as they are bedding in especially if rotors are worn. Average friction coefficient 0.55

I couldn't find the EBC Red for the LS400 calipers. I looked all over and had a hard time finding a good variety of performance pads for the LS400 brakes.

Greens are notorious for warping rotors on heavy cars. Get the Reds, or even better, get some other brand.

Greens dont warp rotors they melt and deposit material on the rotor. They are no good for the track or very heavy use.
That said, I use EBC Green on the street and PF97 on the track

Well, just to update anybody that cares, i've put a little over 100 miles on these pads and i am impressed with the stopping ability. I used these in conjunction with an ls400 upgrade so i don't know how much to attribute to that and how much to attribute to the pads but they stop ferosciously. They do leave crap all over the rotors though, and that sucks. They have also started to squeak which pretty much makes me want to light my car on fire. I haven't noticed too much brake dust. Overall I wouldn't recommend them just because of the rotor deposits and squeaking but they were super cheap so whatever.
