Rear Strut Tower Bar

Rear Strut Tower Bar
I'm going to make a Rear Strut Tower bar. I think a may have to remove the sub woofer, but I think It can be done with the right geometry. Mines a 97' so i'm not sure if the years prior are different in that area.
The strut brackets are going to be the hardest to fabricate, the bar itself should be easy. I'm just going to do aluminium for now....
Any sugestions or ideas are more than welcome.
Drawing up some plans right now.

!!!Up Date!!!!
Anyone know were I can get parts for strut tower bars. I've decided instead of making my own strut-bracket, I'm going to modify one that matches the bolt pattern. Then add my own bar.
Are there any universal build your own kits???
Thanks

or you could just use some .5" sheet metal and drill it out what you need and then use an angle grinder to take off the larger stuff. your going to run into clearance problems with the gas tank being directly in the way hence why there arent any on the market. another thing is that the rear tub of the sc is incredibly rigid. I would hold off and get a cage if you want the body to be stiffer.... just an experienced opinion

It does NOTHING for the chassis in these cars ....Ive had one for a while. I did it just to be doing it' because noone had it.....waste of time/money if you're into performance. The rear is the stiffest part of our chassis. I didnt notice any change
But If you're doing it for 'show' or just for the thrill of fabricating parts....cool.

yeah not too many people are too much into the roll cage idea though...but for those who are, the cage will add more rigidity than any type of strut bar as long as its made right and not just bars welded to random spots.
