Air bubbles in powersteering tank

Default Air bubbles in powersteering tank

Whats going on here folks? Last two days ive gotten a tad bit more noise when i turn the wheel and i open up the tank and its all foamy, no leaks that i can see either.

try jacking up the front of the car, starting it, then turning the wheel back and forth while the reservoir is open. that should help "burp" any bubbles that are inside. it might be indicative of the start of some sort of power steering pump/steering rack failure

this happened to me too. it seems like its lacking fluid so i poured some in. the foamy thingy is i believe, using synthetic fluid and regular ps fluid. after awhile it causes them to foam up when there are 2 kinds of them in there. not quite sure, but it seems like it. i flushed out the whole thing and used valvoline synthetic stop-leak and it works good now.

Yeah its fine when you drive the car for short distances, but anything long distance it starts to make noises and foam up. Ill have to fush it i guess

good advice I also added Lucas power steering treatment
