just wanted to bump this since it was very helpful for me.

i got mine done today. kind of suprise because my bushings wernt as bad as i thought they would be. they actually looked pretty good. i only had trouble removing the 2nd bushings after 15-20min of messing around with it my dad actually got it out. my steering feels alittle tighter and responds better. all in all for $40 bucks i think its worth it.

i also got my sway bar bushings done. took no more then 20min to do front and rear. very very easy.

*someone should sticky this*

maybe this DIY will fix my loose steering thing. i dont know if its normal for a lexus to not move much moving the wheel from like 11:30 ish to 12:30 ish o clock.

but anyways so far i read its a pretty easy job.

from a rating of 1-10 how hard is it?

1 (pouring oil into the engine easy) to 10 (timing belt status)

Great timing with the post! I just ordered these, the sway bars, and the control arm bushings last night!

Those are the grittiest pictures I've seen since I watched "Hostel"...

Did Eli Roth direct your DIY?

Awesome thread; TM Engineering is amazing. I ordered the bushings on wednesday, came home on friday and saw the box. It took about 45 minutes to do my front sway and steering rack bushings from them.

One thing to add is a "to make it easier": Use an exacto knife to trim the OEM rubber lip off the drivers side rack bushings. It will take less force to drive them out.

Just did this with a new rack as well. Amazing difference. No more play...steering feels much tighter and responsive. I would recommend this 100%.

i just made steel sleeves to go in place of stock bushings i dont think any bushing kit will ever compare to it. the car feels amazing. i was going to do the daizen kit but got lazy and didnt order them in time to come home for winter break and install them.

great write up. honestly one of the best bang-for-the-buck upgrades on our cars.

so is it just as easy with the SC400 like the SC300? same way for both cars?

the pictures and this thread was awesome thank you!!! is your car a sc300 or sc400? also, how hard was it to PRESS in the new bushings? i see they have a lip on it too that might make it hard to press in.
