Hello every body,
Dose any one know if different year makes of the SC have different sway bars. I have bought 94 supra tt bars, but when I triad installing theme it appeared that the SC front bar is the same size as the supra. In addition, the back sway bar on the SC is larger than the supra bar, however, it was obvious that the supra bar would hook up to the cross member. In the SC case, the back bar would hook up to the body.
I remember some one saying that he did this modification to his 95 SC. That's what made me think that the early SC came with bigger bars. Any one ? any thoughts?

Hello,
Are you sure the Supra tt bars are solid. From picking up the front bar it was obvious it is hollow. However, the back bar may be solid, but it is smaller than my SC bar from what I could see.

95 changed to a stiffer bar
I believe they went to thicker material in the bar and kept the same OD
97-up was a little bit stiffer too I think but not as dramatic of a diff as the 95

i have a 95 sc300 and i swapped out to the supra tt rear bar....the idea of having the bar mounted to the rear carrier instead of the body is alot more stable...although a stiffer bar would help inthe factory location.....i dont know which bars are stiffer..but i had to get supra rear carrier mounts and the sway bar to get it to work..i have the stock sway bar up front still

LOL...j0hnyboi, I think DoubleWoosh knows a lot about our cars and you misunderstood his humor with Jeff (sc300turbo)
calm down dude!
anyway, I did this sway bar swap, I don't remember which year I got the bars from but I had to buy 2 rear subframe mounts to mount the rear sway bar to.
Here's a picture of the rear subframe cushions that you need:
Here's a picture where you see the old mounting spot and the new spot for the supra rear bar.
Hope that helps...somewhat....

Johnyboi, what the hell is wrong with you? First you wake up a couple of old threads on the exact same topic today....then you come on here and get loud with TM? He's too nice to put you in your place, but I will...he's forgotten more automotive knowledge than you will ever know...learn some respect.

You directly attacked someone on a post that was 2 years old. Someone who knows more about these cars than you do in fact. Stop the trolling please.
Keep that up and you'll be out the door.
