Default Attn: anyone who has ever had power steering leaking.

A few weeks back I replaced the main PS high pressure hose due to cracking from age. I had lost a good amount of fluid before it got replaced.

Today I notice negative camber on my passenger side wheel (about 2 degrees in at the top) so I slide by my mechanic to let him do an alignment thinking I knocked it out somehow.

The power steering fluid ATE MY LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS!

If you have ever had a leak, or currently have one, best to order a new set of lower control arm bushings. They are directly below the PS pump and will get wet if it leaks.

I noticed my car had gotten "loose" over the last few weeks and sure enough it had been since the PS fluid was eating the bushing and softening it up.

Just an FYI!

would the PS fluid eat POLYURETHANE bushings also? I'm assuming it ate your stock rubber bushings right?
