i know you have to keep the amp connected cos it controls the stereo, but i know it can be by-passed does any one kow what the wires are and goto amp/head unit, which ones can be broken to feed the amps,i will be fitting 2 amps and Focal 165w utopia in the front, possibly MB Quart in the rear and two Kicker Solobarics in the trunk....
i would greatly apreciate a detailed wireing i.d cos i dont want to ditch the head unit/cd
some one must have done it please help...........

hey man, if you don't know what you're doing with the stereo i suggest taking it to professional to do it.. if the is300 radio does have a preamp going through it the head unit it should be connected right to the amp to the speakers.. if you're thinking of getting new higher wattage speakers for the whole car and subs they'll have to put in step down and different wirings for RCA plugs.. it'll be a little complicated if done by yourself, but if you want to, good luck..
you won't have to ditch the head unit, you'll just have to install the converters..
you're going with solo barics? that's some expensive *** high power subs man.. you'll need at least 800watts to push those at RMS and might want to consider capacitators for them also.. personally i would recommend JL Audio, but your choice..
btw, lots of people done this.. don't worry, you're not the only one hah.. lates.
