Default What to do....Put stock springs back in?

I am completly in love with my IS. I have 20's on it that I absolutly love. My only issue that I have with the car right now is the rubbing that is going with the front two wheels. I know that I put eibach spings on it and then put the 20's on, but it looks amazing. I want to know what some of you guy's opinion's are. Should I put the stock springs back on, or deal with the rubbing? I am really torn right now, and don't know what to do?

You could try rolling the fenders.

First of all, are you rubbing on the wheel liner or the fender (or both?)

locate where the wheels are rubbing. use a heatgun, or torch to soften the plastic, then push it in enough to clear your tires. i assume you are rubbing when you turn.

its not so much the rub when I turn the wheels that concerns me. its the rub I get when i hit a bump. ITs rubbing on the top portion of the wheel well, close to the outside rim of the fender.

have your wheel specialist heat and push up your fender liner. that should work. mention this idea to your guy, if it is reasonable, give it a shot.

Sorry To hear that it's rubbing now since the springs have settled.
Like i said before your car is one of my favorite.

With my C280 before i had a little problem with rubbing in the front very minimal so the shop cut 1 coil off the back to to some how elevate the front well it sounds wierd but it WORKED.

Maybe you can take a picture of where its rubbing and post it.

goodluck

Yeah, I will take some pics tonight when I get home from the o so great work! I am really torn though. Hopefully I can get it resolved because I love the way my car looks, and I really don't want to go back to the 4x4 look.

if nothing else works why don't you try lowering the tire to a 225/30/19. I know it will cost you more money but it will still look good a probably clean up the rubbing you may have.

are you sure you have eibach pro-kit? they're only a 1" and 0.8" drop from stock springs and there is about 2 inch front wheel gap with stock springs. I have 19s and 20s souldn't be that much different from mine. how and when did you get the eibach pro-kit? I just ordered mine and was told by eibach they're the first batch of shipments other than the few who got the prototypes.
