extremely bouncy
is it just me.. or is the 2is cars extremely bouncy.. i have an is250 awd with less than 200miles on it on stock suspension.. and even on a perfectly flat round, my car seems to bounce up and down on every crevice in the road.. it is really annoying as it feels very uncomfortable and also have to be bothered by my headlight output going up and down with it too..

did you come from a smoother riding car before, some people dont mind as possibly they came from a rougher riding car to the IS so it wouldve been an improvement. When I test drove an IS i found it to be smooth (i drive a lowered car now with very thin tires). Its all about perspective

well its not only me.. i had a couple friends in my car for a joy ride and we were going down a highway (newly constructed, so it was VERY flat).. and they were joking around as if they were in an airplance experiencing turbulance. pretty embarrassing as its a brand new Lexus..

You can definitely look into a good set of coilovers to enhance your suspension. There are not that many options available as of now. I believe JIC is the only company which has come out with the coilover kit. Your best bet would be just wait a little bit and I'm pretty sure there will be quite a few suspension components to choose from.

I came out of an M3. Now THAT is a rough ride. My stock suspension with 18" wheels & 40 profile tires feels very smooth. 17" wheels with higher profile tires should be smoother. BMW ships their cars with a hard spacer in the suspension. Sometimes that doesn't get removed when it should. Toyota may do the same.

this is another thing to look at. I know sometimes when they ship cars they have spring lockers installed to keep the car from oscillating while in transport. And well sometimes when the tech does their PDI they forget to pull it and so you ride is really crappy. Just take a gander underneath the car on each corner and see. you never know.

I come from a Pontiac Grand Am, nowhere near a luxury car, and I feel it was a less smooth ride, but when the IS does hit a bump, you bounce much harder then the Grand AM ever could. It is def. a bouncy ride, but when smooth u can barely tell ur doing 90....
