How about ordering Lexus Sports springs?

HPDE's are fine. Lot's of wannabes wrap their cars though. But the difference is that an Auto-x is an actual COMPETITION. Less risk as well, and I think an auto-x is actually better suited to teach a normal driver the limits of his car that he can carry to driving on the street.
Speed range in auto-x is probably 20-70/80 mph
You turn sharper and more often.
Speed range on track is probaby 30-110/120 mph
Most turns are fast and sweeping.

And if you look at my sig, I am a two time champ with my old IS, and most likely be the champ this year too.
Derek Butts, with his IS won Nationals in DS and DSP...not too shabby...and for sure, not laughing matter!

And as far as track days and auto-x'ng. Yes totally different venues, but the same principles still apply, and what I have learned auto-x'ng, I have applied at the track.
At the track, you need bigger ones to go thru the turns faster, as compared to the medium speed turns in an auto-x.
