Tanabe NF210 for 350 vs. NF210 for GS 06' -> on a IS250 AWD
Hi there,
I havn't got much answer from my last post, but i know alot of our fellow is250awd owner had dropped their ride w/ Tanabe Springs, which i plan to do myself in next few weeks. But i do see people getting the NF210 for 350 AND the 06' GS. Can anyone explain me the difference on those 2 and for owners that bought them already...what consideration did you take in before you making your decision???
Thanks All!
J

i believe the springs for the gs are a 1.3 front and .9 rear drop..the ones for the is350 are .8 front and 1.0 rear..i used the ones for the is350 on my 250awd..i went with these because a 1.3 drop in the front wouldve been too much for me with the steep driveway i have at my w/e house..heres some pics of my whip if you're interested to see what the springs for the 350 look like on the awd

Thanks for the info Cathafer, i saw your post the other day and i like the drop except that i see the gap at the front seems to be BIGGER then the one at the back. do you think u can help me get a measurement of how many inches in the front vs. back. Thanks!
I am still open to both springs, can't say which one i like more yet. Tho if Tein comes out w/ ther Coilover soon that might win my heart=] (but my fiancee will kill me)

Tanabe DF 210 for GS430
Here is some picture's of a IS250 on Tanabe DF 210 for the GS430 as you can see the front is higher than the rear.
My car has a even drop with the Eibach Pro Kit for the IS 350.

Thanks for the pics smooth1, love your SMG is350 i have the same colour
Though I could be wrong, I have seen is250awd w/ the eibach pro kit for 350, they still have a bigger gap in the front vs. the back. I'm just wondering what is the different w/ the 350 vs 250awd suspension setting.....

The Tanabe springs drop the car so that it drops evenly, and not with a forward rake. The Tanabe drop is more functional, and is similar to BMW's when they are dropped. (BMW's have more gap in the front than rear)
From an aesthetic standpoint, it's a matter of preference.
From a functional standpoint, the Tanabe springs would appear to do more to maintain the balance and ride of the stock vehicle.
DF210 for GS on IS:
when you measure the ground clearance of the chassis at each end, they are the same front and rear.

tanabes are definetly a no...if you see it in person you will understand why i say that. i like eibachs the best for the drop and price but really dont know if i feel like wearing out my shocks for this drop...hmmm i too am in a bind on wether i wanna go with the tein ss coilovers, eiback pro kit springs, or just waiting for the tein cs coilovers...1k and 1400 for the teins seem a bit insane seeing that i will most likely lose the ride comfort and eibachs always seem to wear out your stock shocks pretty fast....but i agree with most users that the eibachs drop is the best ive seen so far...
