Smile I'm starting a new DIY site!

Ok everyone. I'm starting a new DIY site for you guys.

http://www.ProjectGS.com/DIY

I got my inspiration is from the LexLS DIY site. I mean heck if theres a site for the LS, why not one for the GS . It's still in the early stages, but anyone in the DFW area that wants to contribute feel free to contact me. I'll meet up and help you do an install(for a small fee or lunch) while someone is taking the pix. I've done a ton of stuff on my car, but no DIY since I don't have anyone to help me take the pix.

Tell me what you guys think about it

EDIT: Ok, sorry BananaGS. Your site kinda slipped my mind for a second there It's been very helpful for several of my mods, but some of the pictures and steps are lacking(no offense). I hope you don't mind if I improve upon some of the guides. I will be taking all pictures myself of course.

maybe you could even incorporate some of the DIY stuff that's already on here, but that is lost in all of the threads. Good luck with the site

Good start, some other popular and simple mods/maintenance items are the DIY chrome grill, and changing the cabin filter.

i know hameed is doing a pioneer avic-d1 nav install.
lexbox just did his headers, he'll be doing his tein cs install soon.

That is awesome Jeff

I have a DIY for the l-tuned side skirts installation in my gallery.

Maybe you can try to add some watermarks in the background or something to designate that it's your website so lextasy.com or other people won't steal it and "Claim" that it's theirs
Just a thought if that's a concern.

Ok, whoever has a DIY writeup and photos please foward them to me. PM me and I'll give you my email. Preferrably if you have the original photos and as many photos as possible, I will edit them and cut them to the correct size. I'm trying to make this DIY page as clear as possible so I want to start with the original unedited photos. So that also means as many photos as possible to make it a full step by step guide. Please, minimum resolution of 800x600, but original unedited preferred.

Don't worry. I'll give full credit to whoever sends in the photos/writeups. I will edit a few things and add circles/arrows to the photos.

TexasGS. I'm doing my Supra brakes and Rotora rotors next weekend. If you want to meet up I'm sure we can do the install at the same time. I want to get a DIY written up for the brake line install....if you haven't already done that? Also, if you want to foward the SRT install pix to me that would be helpful as well. Include the wiring diagram if you can.

GS3Tek, the watermarks are a great idea. I think I'm going to get on that asap. Also, if you wana email me the pix for your sideskirts install, just PM me and I'll give you my email.

LexBox, do you mind if I add your DIY to the site? I will give you full credit of course, don't worry about that. If you have any additional pix to include, that would be helpful. I'm asking because the forum has a limit on the pix per post. Sometimes I just get lazy and post up half of the pix I have.

Anyone else that has a "good" diy please PM me.

Hey, all of you guys with GS4/430. Speak up! I have a GS3 so most of my engine related DIY will be for this car. I'm trying to compile everyone's stuff into one page. I'm sure the new header install will be a good DIY and reference for several people here. The JP/Wise taillight installation would be a great addition as well. I know at least 20 people here that have bought them.

As for myself, I'll try to add a few more things today.

Jeff, let me know which day you are going to do your Supra brake install. I would not mind helping out. I have a Nikon D50 digital SLR and can be your photographer . I am in the process right now of stripping and repainting my Supra brakes so mine are not ready for install yet. Anyway, shoot me an email or call my cell. Bill.
