Default Worth it to rebuild calipers?

I got a set of LS400 calipers from Aliga and finally getting around to installing them. Is it worth it to get the rebuild kit and change the seals? It runs around $35 at the dealer and I haven't found it anywhere else.

For reference, the part number for the kit is 04479-50091.

Id probably do it....after all if you spring a leak then you cant stop. That plus toyotas rubber products love to dry up and crack.

You'll need to inspect the bores for rust anyway. Sure, replace the O-rings at the same time.

$35 sounds like a pretty good deal for the piece of mind. I think I will be doing the same with mine just to be safe. Thanks for the part number too.

I got the kit and did the rebuild today. The inside was really clean and the seals were in perfect condition. The dust boots and metal rings that go around the piston were a pain in the a$$. The fit is really tight and it is really tough to get the boots to slip on correctly. I don't know if there is a special tool or method to use to install these but it took me over an hour to put on all 8 of them. In hindsight I think it would be better to just use the calipers as is and only rebuild them if you have a leak. This way you don't have the hassle of changing seals if they are fine and you don't run of the risk of screwing up a perfectly good pair of calipers. I haven't installed them yet but hopfully I won't have any leaks when I do.
