Wow! This is news to me as I always thought that camber is what kills tyres. Doesn't make that much sense to me though, as I'm under the perception that because camber is the angle at which the wheel/tyre sits that the more camber you have off neutral the more the tyres will wear due to uneven contact patch. So, if you guys are running say -3deg camber (for example) and run standard toe settings the tyres will wear evenly?

Sorry, just confused and would like some clarity

Neg camber will still wear your tires more on the inside than at 0 deg. because thats where most of the preasure is applied. But toe will definately eat up your tires because they drag when not aligned properly...imagine each tire pointing in every direction

oh definately... i guess what I'm asking is... if my toe is aligned properly but I still have this -5 degrees... can I still get at least 85-90% of the tread life I would have if I had proper camber AND I FLIPPED the tires once one side (inside) wore out?

I'm not sure the % of life you will get. I plan on flipping my tires as well when I start to see wear.

Neg camber will wear your tires faster than an oem alignment. Toe that is way out of spec will wear your tires 20 times faster!

When I first bought the car, my front toe was way out and LCA bushings toast, and I went through a set of tires in about 2000 miles.

Driver side.... you can see where I messed up the pull (thats what i get for doing it with a bat)
You can also see this little bulge on the inside... this is what I'm talking about that hits my tire on the driver side... is it safe to hammer this out?
why don't you buy or rent a fender roller... when I rolled my fenders with one, they are basically the thickness of the metal, there is no gap like yours at all... I don't have a picture, but using a fender roller would easily get you 3-6mm more clearance...

haha... i still have some more work to "smoothen" that out....

i wasn't too worried about it since most people don't get that low just to look at the inside of the fender
