Just an FYI for people who may have a similar situation. I took my IS350 to the dealer to investigate a metallic squeaking noise coming from my left rear wheel area when I go over sharp bumps. Turns out that they needed to adjust the parking brake cable because it lacked the correct tension. I still can't conceptualize how the cable would cause the metallic squeaking I heard, but so far the noise hasn't returned.
Is there a specific thread that's related to repairs/troubleshooting that I should have posted to? I'm new to the forum and am trying to get acquainted.

I think I need to get my parking brake adjusted as well. Not because of noise, but it just doesn't grip very well. Think I'll have them take a peek at it when I go in for my next oil change.
