Default intalled kyb gr2 shocks on stock spring, clunking noises

i hear clunking in the front. Is it because something is loose or because these shocks make these noises?

Default .

I tried some KYB2 and they made some clunky noises too. I think it's time for coilovers.

BTW, the shocks shouldnt make clunking noises, thus the install went south at some point and you need to double check everything and/or take it to a shop (which might be the better choice at this point).

Default clunk

sounds like the clunk noise might be the spring turning and hitting the indentation on the sping perch. some times sping manufaturers have a piece of plastic tubing on the springs to help heold it in place and keep the spring seated. get someone to turn the steering wheel and watch the spring and see it it moves. just a idea.

Bump stop/washer missing, possible mismount. These are usually the cause of the thumping noise from my experience.
