Default Big Brakes - Finally

Well, thanks to a few CL members ( especially LXOGOOD and bluelex ), i've finally got big brakes. My new set-up is a 4 piston/4 wheel/355mm Rotora BBK. I installed them yesterday and decided to take a few shots for CL to see.

First pic is a front and back example of the as-received goods

Thanks Adrian, I appreciate your help in making these brakes happen.

The install wasn't too bad, just a little time consuming. You have to bend the rear dust shield back to clear and remove the front dust shield completely. Nothing real difficult, just took my time to make sure everything was right. The bleeding was little more difficult ( doing this with my teenage son ), but we finally got enough air out to have decent pedal response.

I took the car out today to bed the brakes, and wow, these dudes definitely get the job done and quick! During the bedding I was able to experience how strong these brakes are. I thought it was pretty cool when I smoked 'em during some quick stopping from 65 MPH. The 6 pot front must be really amazing, considering how well these 4 pots stop.

Take care of the wife, she's carrying precious cargo! I'll talk to you soon.

Default 4x4 BBK!

Terry, I'm so happy for you man! The calipers look sweet behind those Lowey's and against that gold paint! You'll learn new driving patterns now, hoping others don't rear end you from stopping on a dime! I think your going to love them! Definitely one of my best investments on the GS thus far! Congratulations and I can't wait to see them up close and in person! (Another of Florida's Finest doing his thang!) I'm kicking myself ,I didn't do the 14" rotor!
