Brakes just broke ... help
I was just changing the brake lights on a 94 sc300, and something just happened.
I had set a package of bottled water on brake pedal, so that I could see if the new lights were working (I was the only one home, hence the water)
Anyway, the lights worked, I removed the weight from the pedal, and tried to shift the car into reverse. UH-OH ... it wouldnt go.
The car is stuck in park ... and now even if I depress the brake pedal, the brake lights wont come on. This signals to me that something has come undone, because the car is not recognizing when the brake pedal is pressed at all.
Anyone know what might have happened, or how to fix it..... I need to be able to drive the car tommorow morning, and as of right now, I can't get out of park.
Thanks in advance!

LOL, you were right.
I was looking for a more complicated problem, and never thought to check something so simple.
Thanks again for helping a moron be able to drive his car again!!!
