Might as well go for a set of TEIN SS or Basics for that price.

Default Megan???

I'm interested in the Megan sets as well.....it seems like you get alot for $900, especially when you compare it to the SS and Basic. 32 level adjustment, aluminum upper mounts, etc, etc. I was initially concerned with quality control and reliability. I've read opinions on other sites (WRX, RX7, Supra, 240sx, RSX, etc, etc, etc), and the feedback is pretty positive. One guy had it for 25k miles, and it's still in good shape. There seems to be a few issues with creaks/popping noises, etc, but the straightforward, simple fixes (grease, tighten rings, etc) seem to resolve the issues. Of course, who knows how these work on a Lexus! From what I have read, they're known to be a pretty good coilover set for the price, especially if you can't spend the $1400-$1500 for a Flex or CS. Also rumors that the Megan set is similar to the Apexi (manufactured at the same place). I think most will have great things to say about TEIN, but I'm not sure how their Basic or SS sets compare to the Megan.

I too am looking at the Megan set for the Supra......I've seen ads for $900 including shipping!

depends on how u ride it. i've got the D2.. they ride really nice... performance wise... the megan will out perform the D2 just a lil... i rode on my friends 240s one got d2, and the other got megans. megan rides alot stiffer then the D2, both on max stiffness. but cruising wise D2 is the way to go.

being a D2 dealer, you need to specify your spring rate when you order for your ride, or else you will get whatever is default for them. They can do custom rates for the front and rear.

The only similarity between the Megans and the Apex-i's is that the casing, perches, and mounts are off the same production line. The internal components, valving, and setup are different. This same "rumor" popped up on the 240sx forums I used to frequent; I know a guy that used to work at Megan and he told me the deal.
